这是IFAW给南京网友的回信，或许这次立法真的不会太遥远了
[em06][em06][em06]
Thank you for taking the time to send this. I have forwarded it on to our office in China. We opened an office in China a few years ago to start addressing the animal welfare issues. We are aware of these kind of practices, and the shelter we built in Beijing has helped to stop these cruel practices in Beijing. We are now trying to get animals welfare laws passed in china that would end this kind of practice all over China. Last year China proposed the first ever animal welfare legislation, which is landmark. It did not pass but we feel it will soon, a result of our good work with the government there. Changing these practices takes time and it is horrifying to see the cruelty happening while we are working so hard to change it. Have hope though. You can read more about our work in China on our website: www.ifaw.org.
